My dad brought internet to Nigeria – Veteran singer, ElDee

ElDee the Don, a seasoned artist from Nigeria, said that his father was the one who initially introduced the internet to that country.

In a recent interview with media figure JOI, he made the assertion.

He claimed that even though he studied architecture, his father had taught him about ICT.

“My dad was the person who brought the internet, the very first person that brought the internet to Nigeria,” the ex-member of the defunct Trybemen stated. Therefore, he established pretty much everyone; all the early businesses and all the first cybercafés you are familiar with. My popcy was the conduit for each of those connections.

He worked in IT. I studied architecture, but I naturally gravitate toward IT by association.

He said the Nigerian musicians he currently listens to are Fireboy DML, Oxlade, Joeboy, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and Mavins artists.
